Julie Rothhouse is the Chief Executive Officer of SynaVoice LLC, a strategic communications consultancy. She founded SynaVoice in 2015 with Eliza McDevitt, as a way to serve clients through unifying and synthesizing messages to support mission-critical initiatives.
Julie has spent more than 25 years developing expertise in all aspects of communications. Highlights include working in New York City at Young & Rubicam advertising agency where she held many positions ultimately achieving the title of Senior Vice President responsible for the integrated advertising, marketing and branding campaign for Citibank retail bank. For the launch of Citibank’s online banking, she received a Silver Effie award.
After moving to the Washington, DC area, Julie spent six years at Freddie Mac where she conceived and developed a communications account management function supporting all lines of business and key executives. Her team of eight account managers offered a full suite of communications services including: public relations, internal communications, customer communications, market research and speech writing.
Prior to forming SynaVoice, Julie served as a Senior Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton and Vice President at a boutique IT consulting firm where she gained expertise in consulting for civil sector clients. In 2016, Julie was selected by Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), a national nonpartisan public policy organization, to serve a two-year term as a member of their Leadership Advisory Council.
Julie received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Brown University.
